How do you come up with this?
Was a corker.

Had a game that morning and just made it before kick off... was Hank Marvin so popped down to get a molten pie... popped up the steps just as Sincs put that cross over... I still have scars around my mouth after biting into that radioactive Pukka shit...

They were just showing it on Sky Sports news
Started by showing Paolo pushing over Paul ALLCOCK (my favourite referee) and saying how we got him for £1.5m and contrasted some of the other transfers that season in comparison.
DiCanio, J Cole , Sinclair , Rio , Lampard .... useful team

Payet for one season is probably the only other player since to match the entertainment we got from DiCanio

What about the football genius Carlton F Cole?

PDC got me off my seat (well I never sat down but you know what I mean) than any other player... and I had been going since 1970 ... the absolute and utter entertainer...

Arkle got me off my seat, Secretariat put me to sleep

One of the rare times I got to sit in the chicken run.

Chicken run and North bank, best view for that goal

Loved watching that team and he was a brilliant player, but clearly barking mad.

Number 2 in my list of favourites behind Dicks and due to what football has become, it's a list that'll never be changing.

They were discussing in some tedious detail on Talkshite this am. Berkamp this. Thierry that.

"The greatest goal the Premier League has EVER seen." Said the Moose fella. And no one else.

Cheers, Parlo. Got your boots?

Was in the BML for this.

The overriding memory I have was the applause afterwards. Seemed like it went on for ages.

Was this Kanoute's first game as well?? Remember loads of singing with `Harry Sign him up' being sung...

Yeah I think Kanoute broke a record for shots in a debut or something

Re: Paolo DiCanio’s goal against Wimbledon.... 20 years ago today
Should have won about 5-0 that day
How it was 2-1 was amazing & the Wimbledon Shitcunts got off very lightly.

When you see a goal like that there is a short silence as everyone in the ground tries to work out whether they just saw what they saw.
The only other goal at Upton Park I can recall having that reaction since was Payets free kick against Palace that looked like it was 3 ft over the bar. And then suddenly it was in the net.

I agree with moose, hands down the greatest goal the PL has ever seen. I think i watched it on repeat about 30 times today. Pure genius.

The thing that gets lost in it all is what an absolute cracker of a cross it was from Sinclair as well.

Re: Paolo DiCanio’s goal against Wimbledon.... 20 years ago today
Sincs' crossball mentioned, lefty, do NOT worry.

As Covid demands they were just stringing out the conversation as there's no actual sport NOW to talk about.

Oh look, I've found it again on a tiny telly.

I was in the BML that day and can still remember the buzz for the next 10/15 minutes after he scored. Everyone in the ground was just talking at the same time about what they’d just seen.

I’m trying not be be bias but I’ve watched it a couple more times today and everything about it is just perfection. The cross field pass from Foe (RIP), the beautiful driven cross from Sinclair and the ridiculously brilliant finish from Di Canio.

The slow-motion angle where you see him completely off the ground and doing the perfect bicycle kick is unreal. Martin Tyler and Andy Gray’s commentary adds to the moment.

Was watching it on Sky. My dad had died the previous Saturday so wasn't up to much but that goal put the smile back on my face. Dad would have loved it.
